Celebration on a Monday night

Jed had a birthday shout hooray!  Can't remember what all happened that day but it was the first time I bought a cake for him instead of making it.

Starting again

6th grade
3rd grade
1st grade
Pre school
I love my kids!  I hope this year is amazing.  We all keep trying and doing better.
What a lot there is to learn!

Happy Birthday dear Paige

Gifts first.  New dress, doll outfit, lotion and lipgloss, paints ect.

Louis trying out the foot massager that came with nail stickers.

Cake time!  Mom wasn't paying attention and we didn't even have a quarter cup of powdered sugar for the frosting.  So we made frosting with pudding and whipped topping- a recipe from Kraft.  It was yummy but hard to make nice polka dots with.  We celebrated her birthday a couple days early since Mom was going to girls camp on her birthday!  Also, Grandma and Grandpa Olsen could make it on that day.  G and G Vorwaller were on a trip that week.  We were a small group but it was a fun time.  11 years old!

At the pool

We always have a lot of fun at the pool!

It was hard to get this shot.  Lucy kept poping up too soon and some girl kept trying to get in the picture.  After I took it Louis said "Did you see my finger?"  what a stinker. Oh well.
We were done trying to get pictures.
Paige getting a shower from the bucket.
Tyson is in the center.  To the left of Lucy in the yellow tube.  He was hard to get a picture of.  He loved going down the slide by himself.

Family Day

We went to Grandma and Grandpa Olsen's house the Saturday before Memorial day.  I felt we should stop at the cemetary in Farmington.  We did and left some irises on Broschinsky and Knowlton graves.  I cried a bit.  It had been a while since we have stopped there.  I really have felt an urgency about those who have gone before us.  Louis was asleep so we didn't stay too long.  I think he needed a nap since his hurt hand trauma.  He wanted to stop the tread mill when I was on it that morning.  He didn't want to go to Grandmas because he wanted to play on the computer.  Uggh.  I hope he learned his lesson.  He had a wrapped hand for a few weeks and still has a bandaid on one finger as of June 29, 2010.  I talked to him about talking to me when he wants something so we can work it out and not get hurt.

We went to the cemetary in Milton too.  It was beautiful.  All day had been off and on showers.  I liked this picture of Paige.  Lucy was having fun with dress up at Grandmas.  Louis was in his pajamas all day since he didn't want his hand bothered getting them off.  The next day we cut the one arm open to get his hand out with minimal trauma.  We were still late for church- not knowing how long it would take us to get him ready.

The Sunday before Easter

Instead of new dresses the girls got matching flowers for their hair.  It was a nice day.  We are so blessed!

Lucy!

Jed helped Lucy wash her hair tonight.
Wacky hair day strikes again!  Poor Lucy started feeling very shy about going to school with this crazy hair.  She was smoothing it down all the way to school.  Then we convinced her that lots of kids had their hair crazy- so Paige and I ratted it best we could with our hands once we got to school.
Her teacher loved it.
Her chocolate chocolate cake was very yummy.  She was very happy with the layers too.
She cut out the top circle herself.
What I thought was so fun is that Tyson picked out a book for Lucy he knew she would really like.  Then he glued red pompoms in the shape of a 6 on the wrapping paper.  They don't always get along- I am happy with the progress.
Lucky girl got two birthdays since Mom was sick on her real birthday (didn't feel like cleaning the house and having company).  We had the chocolate cake on her birthday with Grandma and Grandpa Vorwaller- then she went to her friends party.  The next week we had cupcakes on Family Night with Grandma and Grandpa Olsen.  We all got to enjoy the partying.

Good times in Tooele

The girls had a fun time in the sunshine making their snow castle.
Lucy on a photo safari.  This is her bed.
Making noise to ring in new year!!!
We introduced the Keller family to going outside and making noise!!!
I'm sure our neighbors were appreciative.

Christmas Eve

Many of us were dressed in red and green tonight!  The kids had a time holding still while the grownups talked about college and stuff.  Good information- hard on the three to five year olds!  Dinner and the Nativity.  Merry Christmas.

Merry night

A little bit of stress involved getting here and there but well worth it.
We tried out the Christmas sing along- way too crowded but cool(we left early).
We were seated in the nose bleed section and Louis was terrifed of falling.  He couldn't relax.
Had a great night at Temple Square the Monday before Christmas.
Then we had dinner and hot cocoa at Denny's.  Good times!

Tasty Crafts

Fun with snowmen!  I think sometimes I have more pictures of the little kids because the older ones go to their friends more often.  Lucy gets upset about that sometimes.  She thinks she should do all the things Paige does.

Christmas Cookies

The girls are so good at making cookies them selves it goes pretty fast with two or three of us!
