A Real Gingerbread House

No cracker houses for us this year. Paige was determined we needed to make a gingerbread house like last time. Last time was 6 years ago and what a project it was. I was smarter this year in that I knew I wanted to make a smaller house. Not so smart in the design. I made the roof too small. This house only lasted an hour before it fell apart. Sure was yummy to eat!

November yard work

Lucy and Louis had so much fun raking our leaves they wanted to rake the neighbors too. I thought they probably wouldn't mind so we started. Then they came home and asked "Are you doing our yard work?" I explained that it was the kids idea. Louis demonstrated by raking a pile and saying "Look Mom!" Louis took off before I got the camera. We all had fun.

First December Snow!

The snow wasn't deep but it was enough to play in! Paige made the snowman.

Jed was in charge of Christmas music. Decorating for Christmas!

Louis gets the most camera time because he is so- is that mischievous or naughty? I'll try harder for more photos of the rest of us well behaved Vorwallers. Louis loves ranch dressing. He poured it and I got him some cauliflower and cucumbers(he has eaten them well before) to dip but he tasted them and declared they were "Yucky." I wondered what he would do with all the dressing and soon found out! He tried "painting" himself again yesterday and got in trouble. I hope he has learned his lesson.

Carving fun

We had fun carving pumpkins. Louis got into it and the girls helped a bit but Tyson stayed out of the room. He can't stand the smell of pumpkin guts! We had some cool pumpkins but of course didn't get any photos. We were always going to do that later.

Halloween party

Paige was the only one who got halloween pictures taken. She went to her friends party as a Vampire!

Party On!

Jed's Birthday October 11, 2008

Outdoors

I found this caterpillar in the flower bed when I was trimming my primroses. I was having a hard time getting a good photograph so I took one of the preying mantis instead. When Jed came home he took a good pic of the horned caterpillar and some flowers.

Head!

When Louis saw this picture he grinned and said "Head!" He sure likes to be funny. He definitely takes after his mom and dad.

Budding artist

I just stepped out side for a little bit. Louis was pretty proud of his art work! Dry erase marker does not wash out of clothes. It is also hard to get off of other porus surfaces. Fun times! Louis sure is cute.

We stopped for fun on the way home from Grandma's one day.

cozy

Lucy and Louis play well together. They have been playing a lot since the other kids are at school most of the day. They piled the bed with all the soft things they could and wanted a picture!

All Aboard!

Paige is our budding movie maker? This happened when Mom was gone. Someone was mopping the kichen floor. Thank you Grandma or Jed! The camera seems to be fine. Good job Paige!

School Days

First Day of School August 2008
Tyson is in First Grade and Paige is in Fourth Grade! Time is flying by.

Jed's Toy

Jed is going to be learning a lot about sailing. He bought a sail boat! We've been out four times. After some more practice he'll have to invite some family to come along.
