Sailing, sailing...

We had fun sailing at East Canyon. We didn't get a picture of the whole boat though. Louis and Theo sure liked sailing. I thought we had a pic of Theo. Guess not. Just Jed, Louis, and Grandma. Fun!

It's what fun is...Lagoon!

Tyson would not ride Rattlesnake Rapids. We all got soaked and had fun while he sat by the ride operators. Lucy was freezing for a while.

Memories...

Loving the Tidal Wave. Lucy thought it was great that she could scream and laugh as much as she wanted and as loud as she wanted!

Louis refused to ride the paratroopers.

So cute. I remember riding these when they were all painted light blue.

We all had a blast and made a lot of memories. I do hope the kids don't expect it every year. It was pricey. What a way to spend a day. Louis was beat by 10:00p.m. but he still wouldn't ride in the stroller. We stayed until the rides were closed. Lucy was the only one who would go on the terror ride with me. Paige had enough in Dracula's castle. The boys wouldn't ride.

Nature

Jed is having a lot of fun with our camera. The tulip Lucy picked at our neighbors before it opened so we stuck in water to see if it would bloom. It was beautiful!

Three years old!

The birthday party started out with a magic show by the girls. Then we had dinner, then gifts, and then cake and ice cream. When Louis opened his card with money in it, Grandma asked him if he knew what it was for. He said "Put it in pocket!" Then he started putting it in his pocket. What a cutie. He loved his cake. He really likes Star Wars. I was impressed with the way it turned out. I used two eggs instead of three for the cake mix. It came out a crater. Pretty ugly. So I filled it in with ice cream and frosted it. I heard it was tasty. I wasn't eating cake that day. I just had ice cream.

After hiking we had lunch at Juicy Lucy's. It was good food and Lucy really put on the charm for our waitress. We got good service. Tyson was sad in one of the pictures since Louis got him with a knife in the eye. Little bit scary- turned out okay. We parked by the train station and the train whistle blew right by Louis. Poor kid was very scared. He kept his ears covered after that. When we were leaving so was the train and the engineer waved to us.

That's a picture of Lucy (the restraunt founder) on her horse. This was in Glenwood Springs, Colorado.

Hanging Lake hike

Jed had seen pictures of my parents hike with Kettie. He wanted to go here too. Great idea! It was fun and beautiful. Good exercise. Some other hikers thought we were crazy taking our kids. After the first bit it wasn't too bad. The sun and hiking kept us warm and we didn't get as muddy as I thought we would! The kids were good hikers. Louis made it up by himself with a little help from mom and dad. Jed had to carry him on the way down.

You can be a winner at the game of Life!

After all was said and done, Lucy and Paige tied for First Place. We had fun. Louis mostly wanted to crash his car into our cars. The popcorn saved the game from breaking up prematurely. A fun Sunday afternoon activity.
